President of United States, Dennisty, has ordered an emergency meeting with global environmental leaders and high governmental officials. Past efforts to lower carbon emissions have failed because of poor budget and the decade long economic collapse. Increasing temperatures caused massive droughts in the 2060's and wildfires all over the nation. It wasn't just North America that suffered wildfires, but Australia lost almost of 80% of their rural housing to devastating fires. Heat waves stretched across the world, killing millions of civilians who could not afford to find a cool cover from the record setting temperatures.
All of this devastation caused a global economic collapse sending many nations into bankruptcy. Upper middle class life now felt almost like poverty. Shipments of food and water were halted for days at a time and thousands of people were starving.
Eventually the economy somewhat stabilized, and now the number one priority is to revert the climate to what it was a century ago.
Is this possible? Only time will tell.
